We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We missed Robert on Saturday (outage time) but he joined the family for the Sunday events.
On Saturday my dad and Julie came to the park with the kids and I. I knew the kids would be in different age groups and I thought I would need an extra hand. The egg hunt was great but it was cold. We stayed only long enough to gather our loot and then we were off to Larry's for our"picnic lunch." We ended the day at Uncle Bills and Aunt Joyce's house for a great Easter dinner.
Sunday I had to give a talk in church so the Easter Bunny waited until after church. My dad came to listen to the talk along with John and Sherrie. After sacrament we came back to our house and had a good ham dinner (thanks to Sherrie for her wonderful macaroni salad). For dinner we had carrots and I told Carrie that the Easter Bunny can smell carrots and may come if she and Lex ate all of their carrots. Well it worked because there was a knock on the door and "Surprise" there was their loot. They were both pretty excited about their new glasses. It took a minute for the kids to catch onto hunting for the eggs (well more than a minute) but eventually all the eggs were found.
We had a great holiday and the thing that made it great was spending time with our family and remembering the sacrifice made by our Savior. I hope my kids will grow up knowing that because of the Savior we will live again!
